I have strong roots in the area and understand the diverse needs of both urban and rural areas.
Born in Henbury in Bristol I spent my school years there until I attended University. I now live in Frome Somerset. My working life has been spent in the public sector working in both urban and rural areas.
For the past 10 years I have held national roles at the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales, a highly successful organisation created by the last Labour government to advise ministers, monitor the justice system, commission programmes and research and commission places in the secure estate.
